Woman Hospitalized after Mission Train Accident on Shary Road and Business 83

Mission, Texas (January 24, 2023) – A woman was injured after her vehicle was hit by a train on Monday night in Mission, according to the Mission Police Department.

The crash happened at around 7:00 p.m. Monday, January 23 on Shary Road and Business 83.

Police said the woman was driving southbound on Shary Road and Business 83 when her vehicle was hit on the driver side of the vehicle by a train.

It was not immediately known if the driver ran a red light, attempted to beat the train or something else contributed to the crash.

The woman was transported to the hospital and is recovering.

Further details regarding the collision were immediately provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
