One Killed and One Critically Injured in Houston Two-Vehicle Crash on Southwest Freeway at Fountainview; Woman Charged

Houston, Texas (September 13, 2021) – One person was killed, and another was critically injured early Sunday morning in a two-vehicle crash in Houston, according to the authorities.

The deadly crash happened around 3:15 a.m., September 12, at the intersection of Southwest Freeway service road and the Fountainview.

Authorities said a woman ran a red light at the intersection and T-boned an Acura TL that was heading eastbound on Fountainview.

The Acura driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The passenger was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

The woman was arrested and charged with intoxication manslaughter.

No other details were provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
