One Killed and One Injured in Houston Two-Vehicle Crash on Main Street (US 90)

Houston, Texas (April 20, 2021) – One person was killed, and another was injured in a hit-and-run crash early Friday morning in Houston, according to police.

The fatal crash happened around 12:10 a.m., April 16, in the 10500 block of South Main Street (U.S. Highway 90).

Police said a 21-year-old woman was driving a white 2020 Chevrolet Impala northbound when she crashed into a silver 2012 Chevrolet Impala.

Both vehicles left the roadway after the crash where the silver Impala went over a curb and became disabled on the frontage road while the white Impala went over a sidewalk and hit a signal light and power pole, splitting the vehicle in half.

The driver and passenger in the silver Impala fled the scene on foot.

The driver of the white Impala was taken to the hospital in critical condition. Her passenger, an 18-year-old man, was taken to the hospital, where he later died. His name has not been released.

The driver and passenger in the silver Impala were later located.

The police are investigating the crash. Anyone with any other information regarding the crash is asked to call the HPD Vehicular Crimes Division at 713-247-4072.
