Man Killed in Fredericksburg Plane Crash near Gillespie County Airport

Fredericksburg, Texas (November 8, 2020) – A man was killed Friday night after two small planes collided mid-air in a rural area near Fredericksburg, according to authorities.

The fatal crash happened on November 6, northwest of the Gillespie County Airport.

Authorities said two small planes collided mid-air, causing one of them to crash.

The pilot of the crashed plane was killed in the crash. His name has not been released.

The other plane was able to land safely. The two people on the plane were uninjured.

No other details were provided.

The FAA is investigating the crash.
