Two 6-Year-Old Girls Killed in Odessa Pedestrian Accident on Highway 80 at Club Drive; Angelica Garcia Arrested

Odessa, Texas (July 5, 2019) – Two 6-year-old girls were killed in a pedestrian accident Wednesday night at an Odessa intersection, according to the police.

The deadly accident happened around 10:00 p.m. July 3, in the area of Highway 80 and Club Drive.

According to a preliminary investigation, Angelica Garcia was operating a Chrysler 200 when she drove through a barricade on the northbound service road of the highway and hit the two girls.

The girls were taken to Medical Center Hospital where they later died.

Officers said Garcia was intoxicated and was later charged with two counts of intoxication manslaughter.

An investigation is ongoing.
