3 Critically Injured in Three-Vehicle Crash on FM 1314 in Caney Creek

Caney Creek, Texas – Three people were critically injured Sunday evening in a three-vehicle crash in Caney Creek, Montgomery County, according to the DPS.

The crash happened just after 7:30 p.m., on FM 1314 near Village Way.

DPS said a woman was driving a Ford pickup truck while intoxicated when she failed to turn and hit a Hyundai with one occupant. She then crashed head-on into a BMW.

The occupants of the BMW, a male driver, a woman in the passenger seat, and a 12-year-old in the back seat, had to be extricated. 

The BMW driver and the Ford driver were taken to Kingwood Hospital in critical condition. The 12-year-old was flown to a Houston hospital in critical condition.

The Hyundai driver was uninjured in the crash.

The crash closed the highway for several hours.

The DPS troopers are investigating the crash.
