Child Killed and Four Injured in Sugar Land Two-Vehicle Crash near Riverpark Drive and Grand Parkway

Sugar Land, Texas (October 23, 2023) – A child was killed, and four other people were injured Sunday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash in Sugar Land, according to the authorities.

The fatal crash happened around 4:16 p.m., October 22, near the intersection of E. Riverpark Drive and the Grand Parkway.

Authorities said the crash involved two vehicles and seven people.

Two juveniles between the ages of 10 and 14 were airlifted to the hospital in critical condition, where one of them later died. 

Three other people were taken to the hospital for treatment. Two others refused medical attention.

Officials said it is possible that one of the vehicles ran a stoplight.

The crash remains under investigation.
