Juan Pedroza Killed in San Antonio Two-Vehicle Crash on Southcross Boulevard

San Antonio, Texas (October 23, 2023) – A man was killed, and another person was injured Saturday afternoon in a head-on collision in San Antonio, according to the police.

The fatal crash happened around 12:16 p.m., October 21, in the 4700 block of E Southcross Boulevard.

Police said 20-year-old Juan Pedroza was driving a white 2015 Cadillac CTS westbound when he tried to pass another vehicle. He crossed the double yellow lines onto oncoming traffic and crashed head-on into an eastbound gray 2001 Chevrolet Silverado. 

Pedroza was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Silverado driver was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
