Juan Galvan Killed in 2-Vehicle Crash on County Road 44 in Robstown

Juan Galvan ID’d as Man Killed in Robstown Car Accident on County Road 44

Robstown, Texas (July 16, 2019) – The 60-year-old man who was killed Saturday morning in a traffic accident near Robstown has been identified as Juan Galvan, of Corpus Christi.

The tragic wreck happened on County Road 44 Saturday, July 13.

According to Texas Department of Public Safety officials, Galvan was driving a Chevrolet Impala westbound on County Road 44 when he drove on the wrong side of the road to pass a pickup truck.

The Impala slammed into a Nissan Pathfinder that was heading westbound on the county road.

Galvan was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

The driver of the Nissan, a 28-year-old Robstown woman, was airlifted to a Corpus Christi hospital with unspecified injuries. Her 3-year-old son was also transported to the hospital in unknown condition.

Authorities said the woman and her son are in stable condition.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
