Man Killed after SUV, Truck Collide on E Avenue H in Temple

68-Year-Old Man Killed in Temple Car Crash on E Avenue H

Temple, Texas (November 3, 2022) – A collision between an SUV and a truck has claimed the life of a 68-year-old man in Temple on Thursday morning, according to the Temple Police Department.

The deadly crash happened at about 8:23 a.m., on E Avenue H.

Temple Police said the 68-year-old man was driving a Ford Flex SUV westbound on E Avenue H when, for an unknown reason, he drifted into the path of a truck. Both vehicles ultimately collided.

The driver of the Ford Flex, whose name was being withheld pending notification of next of kin, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the truck did not suffer any injuries.

The crash remains under investigation. Anyone with information about the crash is asked to call Temple Police Department at 254-298-5500, or the Bell County Crime Stoppers at 254-526-8477. Reports to the Crime Stoppers can be made anonymously.
