Pedestrian Struck, Killed by Vehicle on I-20 in Smith County

One Killed in Smith County Pedestrian Accident on Interstate 20

Smith County, Texas (March 4, 2020) – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle Tuesday night in Smith County, according to the DPS.

The deadly accident took place on Tuesday, March 3, on Interstate 20.

DPS said a pedestrian was struck, for unknown reasons, by a vehicle on the interstate.

The pedestrian was killed in the crash. The victim’s identity has not been disclosed.

The crash closed the eastbound lanes of I-20 near mile marker 573.

The DPS is investigating the crash.
