Officer Injured in San Antonio Two-Vehicle Crash on Martin Street at Picoso Street

San Antonio, Texas (November 22, 2019) – A San Antonio police officer was injured early Friday morning in a traffic accident in San Antonio, according to a local news release.

The crash occurred in the area of Martin Street and Picoso Street.

Police said the officer was on patrol and was driving westbound on Martin Street when an SUV, which was southbound on Picoso Street, ran a red light and T-boned the police car.

The impact pushed the police car into an abandoned house.

 The officer was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The SUV driver and his female passenger were arrested.

The crash remains under investigation.
