Sidney Dew, Tyrone Wilson Killed in Wrong-Way Crash on Texas 183 in Irving

Sidney Dew and Tyrone Wilson ID’d as Two Killed in Irving Crash on Texas 183 near Belt Line Road
Irving, Texas (February 25, 2019) – The two people who were killed early Monday morning in a wrong-way crash on an Irving highway has been identified as Sidney Leigh Dew, 40, of Santa Ana, California and Tyrone Wilson, 38, of Bedford, according to police.
The fatal crash happened at about 3:00 a.m. Monday, February 25 in the 3400 block of Texas 183 near Beltline Road.
Police said an SUV driven by Dew, was heading eastbound in the westbound lanes of Texas 183 when it collided head-on with a Corvette driven by Wilson, who was traveling in the right direction.
Dew and Wilson were killed in the collision. An unidentified passenger in the Corvette sustained major injuries and was transported to Parkland Memorial Hospital in critical condition.
Both vehicles sustained major damage in the crash.
All the westbound lanes of the highway were closed following the crash.
Motorists were asked to seek alternate routes.
The police are investigating the crash.
