Valentine Carrasco Killed in Martin County Two-Vehicle Crash on State Highway 349

Martin County, Texas (December 18, 2022) – One person was killed Wednesday morning in a two-vehicle crash in Martin County, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal crash happened around 9:20 a.m., December 14, on State Highway 349 near mile marker 313.

DPS said Valentine Junior Carrasco, 41, from Midland, Texas, was driving southbound on the highway while Stephen Leroy Miller, 61, from Midland, Texas, was also southbound and was stopped in the inside lane waiting to turn left into a private drive.

Carrasco failed to control his speed and rear-ended Miller’s vehicle.

Carrasco was pronounced dead at the scene.

No further details were provided.

The DPS is investigating the crash.
