Driver Goes Around School Bus, Hits Child on Hearth Drive in SW Houston

Child Injured in SW Houston Pedestrian Crash on Hearth Drive

Houston, Texas (April 11, 2019) – A driver who went around a stopped school bus struck and injured a child who was getting off the bus on Wednesday afternoon in southwest Houston.
According to the HPD, the collision happened on Hearth Drive just after 3 p.m. April 10.
A student was getting off a Longfellow Elementary School bus when the driver of a vehicle went around the bus and struck them.
The child was transported to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.
It’s unclear whether the driver who hit the child was cited.
Police are investigating the crash.
