Man Killed in McAllen Pedestrian Accident on Bicentennial Boulevard
McAllen, Texas (April 14, 2019) – A pedestrian was killed early Saturday morning in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident in McAllen, authorities said.
The horrific accident took place at around 2:00 a.m. Saturday, April 13 on Bicentennial Boulevard.
According to the authorities, the man was struck by a vehicle whose driver fled the scene without rendering aid to the victim.
Emergency crews responded to the scene and found the pedestrian lying in the roadway. The victim was declared dead at the scene.
According to reports, the driver involved was later arrested by police. The charges that the hit-and-run motorist will face are still pending.
Further details were not immediately available, and the accident remains under investigation.
