Woman Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash on Westheimer Road in Houston

53-Year-Old Woman Killed in Houston Pedestrian Accident on Westheimer Road near 610 West Loop

Houston, Texas (December 22, 2020) – A 53-year-old woman was killed in a hit-and-run accident Thursday afternoon in Houston, according to police.

The deadly accident happened around 1:00 p.m., December 17, in the 4700 block of Westheimer Road, just east of 610 West Loop (West Interstate Highway 610) service road.

Police said the woman was struck by an unknown vehicle on the roadway.

The vehicle fled the scene after the accident.

A Harris County Precinct 1 deputy constable who was working a nearby extra job spotted the victim lying unresponsive in the roadway and called the paramedics.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Her name has not been released.

The police are investigating the crash. Anyone with information about the accident is asked to call the HPD Hit and Run Unit at 713-247-4072 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
