2 Dead in 18-Wheeler Accident at U.S. Highway 59 North and Loop 390 in Marshall

Two Louisiana Men Killed in Marshall Crash at U.S. Highway 59 North and Loop 390
Marshall, Texas (May 10, 2019) – Two people from Louisiana were killed Wednesday evening in a traffic accident in Marshall, East Texas, according to a local news source.
The tragic wreck occurred shortly after 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 8 at the intersection U.S. Highway 59 North and Loop 390.
Authorities said two vehicles were both heading southbound on U.S. Highway 59 North when they attempted to turn east onto Loop 390. The first vehicle completed its turn onto Loop 390 while the second vehicle tried to turn onto Loop 390 and was hit by a tractor-trailer.
The driver of the second vehicle and his passenger were both pronounced dead at the scene. They were only identified as two men from south Louisiana.
Their names have not been disclosed pending notification of family.
Authorities are still investigating the cause of the crash.
