Man Killed in Houston Pedestrian Accident on State Highway 288 near West Bellfort

Houston, Texas (January 4, 2022) – According to the police, a man in his 60s was killed Tuesday morning in a hit-and-run accident in Houston.

The deadly accident happened just before 7:30 a.m., in the northbound feeder lanes of State Highway 288 near West Bellfort.

Police said the man was struck by a car that then fled the scene.

A witness stopped and tried to give the man CPR, but he was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released.

The victim was wearing jogging pants and a jacket when he was hit. Debris from the car that hit him was found at the scene.

No other details were provided.

The police are investigating the crash.
