Miguel Angel Fred Killed in San Antonio Two-Vehicle Crash on N. Loop 1604 near Green Mountain Road

San Antonio, Texas (August 15, 2020) – The man who was killed in a rear-end collision early Wednesday morning in San Antonio’s Northeast Side has been identified as Miguel Angel Fred, 26, according to authorities.

The fatal crash happened around 2:30 a.m. on N. Loop 1604 East near Green Mountain Road.

Police said Fred was driving a white Mitsubishi at a high rate of speed when he rear-ended a red vehicle. The force of the impact caused Fred to lose control, and he wrecked in a grassy median.

Fred was trapped in his car and was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The driver of the red vehicle left the scene after the crash. A passerby reported the crash.

The police are investigating the crash.
