Woman Critically Injured in Hit-and-Run Crash on North Pioneer Street in Abilene

Woman Critically Injured in Abilene Pedestrian Accident on North Pioneer Street

Abilene, Texas (October 16, 2020) – A woman was critically injured Monday night in a hit-and-run crash in Abilene, according to police.

The accident happened just before 8:00 p.m., October 12, in the 700 block of North Pioneer Street.

Police said the woman was possibly hit by a vehicle on the street.

The vehicle fled the scene after the accident.

The woman was found lying in the roadway and was taken to a local hospital with severe injuries. She was then airlifted to the Metroplex.

An investigation is underway. Anyone with any information about the accident is asked to contact Abilene Crime Stoppers at (325)676-8477.
