Wayne Woodcock Killed in Lubbock Pedestrian Accident on Marsha Sharp Freeway

Wayne Woodcock ID’d as Victim Killed in Marsha Sharp Freeway Accident

Lubbock, Texas (August 10, 2019) – Wayne Woodcock, 57, has been identified as the pedestrian who was struck and killed by a vehicle Thursday afternoon in Lubbock.

The deadly pedestrian accident was reported at about 1:13 p.m. Thursday, August 8 in the 4400 block of the Marsha Sharp Freeway near Quaker Avenue.

According to reports, Woodcock was crossing the roadway near the intersection of Marsha Sharp Fwy and Quaker Avenue when he was hit by a 2019 Cadillac Escalade that was turning at the intersection.

Woodcock sustained major injuries and was transported to UMC, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
